We dedicate this month’s “The Swing of Things” to those who cherish every opportunity to get their dance on!
Internet Loves Dancing Winnie The Pooh
The world’s laziest bear became an internet hit thanks to the viral spread of a 3D animated clip. It originated in 2015 when a graphic artist captured A.A. Milne’s beloved character doing the “Gangnam Style” dance. This year, Pooh became a hit when someone set the honey-loving bear’s dancing GIF to several different songs.
Dancing Employee Hits His Mark!
A Target employee in Iowa is showing off superior dance moves. 24-year-old Chase Carlson became a social media sensation when he posted his version of “JuJu on that Beat” — a hip-hop song created by two Detroit teens. Carlson says he wanted to put a smile on his fellow employees’ faces. What better way can you think of than dancing.
Shake It Like A Polaroid Picture
There are few occupations more stressful than being a law enforcement officer. It appears Sergeant L.J. Smith of the New Orleans Police Department releases his stress through dancing. And he loves to have others participate. The officer got down as some New Orleans residents enjoyed a recent festival.
Remember when you had the time of your life with Baby and Johnny? Well, time flies! This year marks 30 years since the release of “Dirty Dancing.” Be careful as you continue to try and pull off the iconic “lift.” And take note, a TV miniseries remake is set to air on ABC in May.
Miss Universe pageant contestant Zoey Ivory shows there’s no time like the present to get your dance on. Miss Netherlands heard Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” playing during a break and went to work. Of course, someone got it on video, and it went viral. When asked about her moves Ivory said, “They said we [could] relax during the rehearsal so when I heard the music I was just being me.”
