Summer is here and for a lot of people that means FUN in the SUN… and usually water. From pools, to lake, to beaches… even a sprinkler in the backyard, most of us have some happy memories of taking a moment to cool off to a refreshing splash of water.
Your local Fred Astaire Dance Studio may not be doing a lot of splashing when we dance, but we do have nicely air-conditioned studios that will ensure you keep your cool while you’re learning some pretty hot dance moves. In the meantime, enjoy some videos of people having some footloose fun in, on, next to, or even under the water.
There’s just something about a splash pad that brings out the kid in all of us… so imagine what it does to a toddler? You’re sure to get happy just watching how happy this little guy gets when he spends a sunny afternoon at his local splash pad.
FUN IN THE SUN AND THE SPRINKLER
Sometimes all it takes to get that summertime feeling is a water hose, a sprinkler, and fresh cut grass on your bare feet. It doesn’t take much more than that to create summer memories.
You don’t have to be a little kid to enjoy dancing in the water… you don’t even have to be a human. Our four-legged friends enjoy spinning and swimming around in the water just as much as anyone.
Jaydeep Gohil first caught worldwide attention performing on the show “India’s Got Talent.” His underwater dancing has fascinated viewers across the globe, leading to the creation of his own YouTube channel named HYDROMAN.
PROFESSIONALS WALTZING UNDERWATER
Who would have believed it was even possible? A ballroom dance routine performed entirely underwater? Dancers with the hit BBC show “Strictly Come Dancing” decided to wow audiences with the underwater stunt as part of their aid for Sport Relief program.
And finally, no roundup of dancing around water could be complete without mentioning one of the most famous water dancing scenes in movie history: the iconic lake lift scene from the fan favorite film “Dirty Dancing.” The official Dirty Dancing Festival is celebrating its tenth year this September in Lake Lure, North Carolina, where much of the movie classic was filmed. The fun includes a lakeside viewing of the movie as well as dance classics and your chance to try the famous lake lift!
