There are plenty of people getting excited now that “The Bachelor” is back on the air on ABC, but not because they particularly love the show itself, but because dance fans know that, when “The Bachelor” wraps up, their favorite “Dancing With the Stars” will begin its new season in the spring of 2019. There’s just one problem: there will be no DWTS… at least not this spring!
No worries! The dancing favorite will be back on the air in the fall, and we can probably expect to find out the names of the celebrity dancers sometime in the late summer. ABC didn’t say WHY they decided to skip this cycle, but the show did come off of a controversial season out of the 27 aired so far, with many fans disappointed with the winner, Bobby Bones.
So what can you do to satisfy your foxtrot fix until the fall? We suggest the best course of action is to join your local Fred Astaire Dance Studio and get in on the action yourself! Our professionals offer both private and group lessons and you’ll salsa like a star yourself before you know it.
If your lessons still don’t quench your passion for Paso Doble, then here are some options that’ll hopefully tide you over until the fall.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions
While fans of this NBC show — which features all types of acts, including dancers — wait for the premiere of season 14, they can enjoy this spinoff that’s airing now. The show is sort of an “all-stars” version and features contestants from “… Got Talent” shows from other countries as well.
World of Dance
The third season of NBC’s hit dance competition series is expected back on the air February 26, with another round of dancers trying to impress dance superstars like Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and NE-YO with their abilities. It’s all an effort to win a $1 million prize! You’ll see some couples’ ballroom on the show, but you’ll also see some pretty amazing groups as well.
Strictly Come Dancing
If ballroom is more your boogie and you’ve got access to BBC (that’s the British Broadcasting Company, baby!) then you can get delight in the dancing on this fan favorite from across the pond. No solid date has been announced for this show’s return yet, but it’s expected in late August.
Another great option is the “Dancing With the Stars Live!” touring show. You can see some of your professional favorites live and in person as they cha-cha their way across America. And don’t forget the old reliable YouTube! You can spend hours watching dance videos that are both inspiring and sometimes hilarious!
Of course, you can always let Fred Astaire Dance Studio fulfill your fix for dancing, especially if you’ve never taken lessons before. You can take advantage of our special introductory offer designed especially for new students. Get in touch with your local Fred Astaire Dance Studio today.
